Boney goes Pro
Posted: 11/1/2006

Austin Boney took his first win in his first ever Pro race this weekend on his Central Texas Powers Sports sponsored YZF250. KTM mounted racer Brian Johnson of Team TJ’s Cycle tried his best to close the gap in the final lap but Boney took the checkered by a mere 11 seconds. Shawn O’Leary also of Team TJ’s Cycle rounded out the top three on his KTM. There was a lot of bar to bar racing and position swapping this weekend in the over Senior 50+A class between Billy Young and Alan Kent of Kent Power Sports. The 250FC class was just as exciting to watch as Brad Kammer and Sheldon Coble battled it out for the checkered flag. The competition in our Halloween Decorating Contest was just as fierce as the racing this weekend. Reigning Champs the Neubauer’s put up a good fight to defend the title but were knocked out by the Klander’s “Live Zombie”. Thanks to all that participated in the Halloween events. Special thanks Tony Miller and all the Freestone staff for providing us with a first class venue. See you all at Round 8!
